Lenny's Girl, Part 2

Recap: Lenny found Katey lying unconscious on the bedroom after
she fell of the the chair, trying to change a lightbulb.
Lenny: I have to call someone, No i have to take her to the hospital.
wait no, you're not supposed to move injured people. I'll call an ambulance.
Yeah that's it, then i'll call Carmine.
Just then there is a familiar knock on the door, Lenny doesn't want to leave
Katey, but has to answer the door.
Lenny: If you can hear me at all, i'll be right back, i'm going to answer the door. I'll be Right Back, okay.
He runs downstairs to the door.
Lenny: Who is it. (just like Laverne and Shirley did in Milwaukee)
Carmine: It's me Carmine, open up Len.
Lenny opens the door.
Carmine: What are you doing here, Where are Katey and Laverne?
Lenny: (starts crying) Laverne's at work
Carmine: Don't cry Len, she'll be home at 3.
Lenny: No you don't understand, it's Katey.
Carmine: What is it Len? What happened. Just calm down and tell me.
Lenny: She fell, she's lying on the floor and she's not moving, i don't know
what to do. I was gonna call an ambulance and then you came over.
Carmine: Oh my god, okay show me where she is.
Lenny: Okay, she's up here.
Lenny and Carmine go upstairs. Carmine sees Katey lying on the floor.
Carmine: Oh boy, She doesn't look good, Len stay here i'll call for an ambulance. Don't worry, everything will be okay.
Lenny: Okay. Don't worry Katey, everything will be okay, When you wake
up everyone will be there, Carmine's going to call an ambulance and then
Laverne and your uncle Frank. I'm gonna leave Squiggy a note and i'll
be right back i promise.
Carmine: Okay Len, they'll be here in 10 minutes, they said to keep her
comfortable. I called Cowboy Bills and Mr. DeFazio is gonna pick up Laverne and call Katey's parents in Chicago and then meet us at the hospital.
Lenny: Okay, I'll leave a note for Squiggy to meet us there.
Carmine: Okay i'll stay with Katey.
Lenny: Okay i'll be right back. He exits.
Carmine takes a wash cloth and wipes Katey's forehead and face gently
Carmine: There, that's better, it sure is hot out there, dont worry, you'll be
fine, The Big Ragoo is here. I'm not gonna leave either. Laverne and
your uncle Frank will be waiting for you at the hospital, everything will be
okay.
Lenny comes back.
Lenny: The ambulance just got here.
Carmine: Okay, I'll get them.
Lenny: Okay. The guys are here to take you now.
Ambulance guy 1: (we'll call him Michael) Never fear the ambulance guys
are here.
Ambulance guy 2: (we'll call him Dave) He's Michael.
Michael: He's Dave
Both: and you're friend we're here to save.
Lenny and Carmine kinda look at each other like "What's their problem"
Lenny: (whispering) What ambulance company did you call?
Carmine: F&B.
Lenny: Oh. okay. What does F&B stand for anyway?
Dave: Fish and Bine, it's catchy, what can we tell ya.
Lenny gives him a weird look.
Michael: Well they couldn't call it the F Ambulance company could they?
Lenny: No i guess not. Look could you becareful, that's the 2nd time you dropped her.
Dave: Oh right, sorry, look we'll get our expert at moving broken people.
Michael: Oh yeah he's the best. (goes outside and brings in a third guy)
Dave: This is Mother. don't you think he looks just like Bill Cosby?
Lenny: I was just about to ask him for an autograph.
Mother: Well, you are very lucky, I just finished a bowl of pudding.
Carmine: Look this is all very amusing, but could we please get her to the
hospital? Burbank General?
Lenny: Well i, for one, was very amused. If Katey were awake, she'd love it.
Carmine: Somehow, i doubt that Len.
The 3 guys stifle themselves and load Katey into the hospital.
They get her safely to the emergency room and Lenny and Carmine
sit in the waiting room and well...wait. Squiggy is the first to arrive and finds
them in the waiting room.
Squiggy: Hey, how long have you guys been waiting.
Lenny: We just got here.
Squiggy: Geez, I hope she'll be okay.
Laverne and Frank come running into the hospital.
Laverne: Where is she!!!!
Frank: Yeah, where is she!!!
Carmine: They just brought her in. We're waiting for the doctor to
come out and talk to us. So just sit down and try and relax.
They all sit and wait for the doctor to come out and talk to them.
They wait for what seems like 2 hours. Finally someone came out.
The doctor tells them that she's starting to come around and that
her leg is broken and that she has a very minor concussion.
They all go into her room and wait for her to wake up. A couple hours
later she wakes up and they take her home and put her to bed.
The next couple of days, Katey regains some of her strength and learns
how to use crutches. She and Lenny go to the beach again but stay far back from the water so her cast doesn't get wet. Lenny spreads out a blanket and helps Katey sit down.
Lenny: (getting down on one knee and taking a little velvet box out of
his Lone Wolf Jacket.) Katey?
Katey: Yes Lenny?
Lenny: Would you....Would you marry me? I know we've only just met but
We've spent alot of time together and I really....
Katey: Yes. Lenny Kosnowski, I will marry you.
Lenny: (giggles) Well alright then, Katey DeFazio, let's get married.
Katey: I can't wait.
Lenny: Me either, when and where do you want to get married.
Katey: Well i was thinking either Chicago or Milwaukee. New Years Eve.
Lenny: How bout Milwaukee and live in Chicago. I like New Years Eve too.
Katey: What a way to ring in the new year.
Lenny: (giggles) Yeah.
Lenny helps her up and carries her to the car. They go spread the news
and everyone is thrilled. They all help prepare the wedding. They call
Shirley long distance and give her the news.
Laverne: Hi Walter is Shirley there?
Walter: Sure, hold on, How ya doin Laverne?
Laverne: Great and you?
Walter: I'm great, remember the rash i had when i married Shirley?
well it finally cleared up.
Laverne: Well that's good Walter. glad to hear it.
Walter: (calling Shirley to the phone) Shirl, phone for you?
Shirley: Hello?
Laverne: Hi Shirl! Lenny's joining my family.
Shirley: Laverne! What are you talking about?
Laverne: Lenny is marrying my cousin Katey.
Shirley: Oh stop kidding around, Katey's only 12 years old.
Laverne: That was 10 years ago Shirl. She's 22 now and she's marrying Lenny. Oh and she broke her leg a couple days ago.
Shirley: Boy, you go and get married and all heck breaks loose.
I would love to be there for the wedding, but i'm still in Greenland.
Laverne: Well i'll send you lots of pictures of the wedding, it's going to
be in Milwaukee and they're gonna live in Chicago.
Laverne finished her phone call and finished helping Katey plan the wedding.
Six months go by and Lenny and Katey get married.
Father Delvecchio: Do you Leonard take Katherine to be your lawfully
wedded wife, to have and to hold til death do you part.
Lenny: I do
Father Delvecchio: and do you Katherine take Leonard to be your lawfully
wedded husband to have and to hold, till death do you part.
Katey: I do.
Father Delvecchio: By the power invested in me and the State of Wisconsin, i now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride.
Lenny and Katey do a long passionate kiss.
Father Delvecchio: It is my pleasure to introduce you, for the first time, to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Katherine Kosnowski.
After the terrific reception with beer provided by Shotz Brewery.
and food by tons of Italian and Polish relatives, Katey and Lenny left for their honeymoon and to start their long happy life.
