Laverne's Wedding Daze.. part two

There was almost no need to make a formal announcement of Lenny and Laverne's engagement, word spread like wildfire thru Shotz brewery and the neighborhood. Friends, and neighbors offered their congratulations to the couple and between making plans for the wedding and working, Lenny and Laverne scarcely had any time to themselves

One evening at Laverne's apartment during a make out session Lenny said

"Laverne, I love you more than anything in the whole world, but I will be real glad when all this wedding stuff is finished"

Laverne sighed and rested her head against Lenny's chest " I know Len.. if Edna asks me for my opinion on the bridesmaids dresses again, I'm gonna scream"

Lenny kissed her again.. "it's worth it.. and anyways your Pop would be heartbroken if we wasn't married in the church" Just hearing those words gave Laverne a warm glow all over and the inner resolve she needed to get thru the next few weeks until the ceremony.

Shirley and Edna were a huge help in planning the wedding . On Laverne's first day off from the brewery, Edna and Shirley went with Laverne to Melissa's Bridal Salon, with a folder filled with clippings from the bridal magazines, in search of The Dress
