"Ey, it's Al's tomato!" The short brunette repeated. Dawn's response, which was quite succinct, was to grab him by the little hair lying across the middle of his forehead and yank as hard as she possibly could.
The little man wailed something about her wrecking his hair, but she could care less. Suddenly the blond opened the tent flap and slipped in.
"What the hell are you doing?!" She snapped.
He shrugged, "I thought maybe I could give ya some assistance."
"In what?"
He took a deep breath, "I kinda understand where yer commin' from. Once upon a time, ya see, I really loved this girl. REALLY loved her." He took a deep breath, "She married some other guy, an' I couldn't live with myself fer years." He took out his wallet, flipping it open to show Dawn a photo of a ginger-hared woman.
Dawn looked at this blond fellow; looked into his eyes, at at his manner and the way he carried himself. And she heard herself saying, "I believe you." She took a deep breath, "I think I know what I need to do now."
As he exited the tent, he heard a cell phone auto-dialing, and a soft voice asking, "Hello, Simon?"

Hours later, Al lamented from his daughter's arms, "...But I can't get back a deposit on this suit!"
Torrie's voice proved soothing, "It's OK, Daddy; we'll work something out." She handed him a number, "Just call here, someone will pick you up."
A teary-eyed Al staggered off to a phone booth; his daughter, satisfied, smirked to herself; that number would lead her father back to her mother and end this silly crises, once and for all.
She found her Uncle Lenny standing by the peeing angel punchbowl, staring silently. She wrapped her arms around his neck, gave him a kiss.
"Anyone ever tell you that you're my favorite uncle?" She smiled.
Then slipped him a dollar bill.
