ONE
Int. girls apt. Laverne & Shirley are on the couch talking about something, Laverne is drinking a milk 'n' Pepsi, Shirley is holding a note pad.

Laverne- (Taking a drink from her glass) OK, lets only invite a few people this time, huh?

Shirley- OK, who? (She writes something on her note pad)

Laverne- Well, you an' me, an'

Shirley- Carmine.

Laverne- Yeah an' Ash.

Shirley- (grimacing) Yeah, and I suppose Lenny and Squiggy. Who else? How about Rosie?

Laverne- Not a chance, Shirl. How do you expect me to enjoy myself with my fist in her mouth? How 'bout we don't invite anybody else. Kind of a 'Knapp Street bash'?

Shirley- All right. Lets see, we need to get groceries and decorations and...

Laverne- It's the gang Shirl! Food, fine, but forget the decorations, huh?

Shirley- Fine. But we better get going if we wanna avoid the rush. Slotniks is havin' a sale on beans today.

Laverne- Yeah, we better go early before they take all the good ones, or else all we'll get are Kidney beans like last time.

Shirley- Yes, but what a chance to make my famous Feeney kidney bean casserole!

(Laverne makes a face and drags her out the door.)

TWO
int. L&S apt. Laverne & Shirley enter, soaking wet.

Laverne- (Turning the lights on and walking in) Boy, I've never seen so many people buyin' beans! The whole city's gonna have gas!

Shirley- (nodding) And who could've predicted that storm? (They look towards the window) Good thing everyone we invited to the party lives in this building!

Laverne- Yup, the rest of Milwaukee can freeze, while we get to dance! (They bring the groceries into the kitchen and put the food away) I can't wait to pull out the record player an' dance the night away with...

Shirley- With?

Laverne- (Suddenly looking sad) I ain't got nobody to dance with.

Shirley- Awe, come on Vernie, I'm sure Squiggy'll save a dance for you! (she giggles to herself)

Laverne- Give it a rest, huh Shirl?

THREE
int. L&S apt. evening. The gang's all there. Shirley and Carmine are dancing, Lenny and Squiggy are bothering Laverne and Ash is just staring out the window.

Ash- Man, it's really comin' down out there!

Laverne- Yeah, we should've guessed that rain don't stay rain long in Milwaukee.

Ash- It's practically shootin' ice cubes out there! Wouldn't wanna go out tonight...

Laverne- Which is why we're in 'ere!

Ash- Right.

Squiggy- (Hearing a slow song and looking at Laverne) How 'bout one dance Laverne? (He looks pleadingly at her)

Laverne- Well, I guess since ya haven't done this (bits her palm and makes that disgusting sound) all night, one dance...

(They start dancing, Laverne making sure that she is a safe distance from Squiggy at all times)

Ash- I guess that leaves you an' me.... (She turns to Lenny)

Lenny- (Smiling enormously) Yeah?

Ash- Sure, why not? (They step onto the dance floor, Ash seems a lot less nervous than Laverne, letting Lenny hold her unusually close)

Shirley- (to Carmine) Lookit that Carmine. I never thought I'd see the day.

Carmine- Yeah Laverne's sweatin' bullets!

Shirley- Can't say the same for Ash, just lookit how close they're dancing!

Laverne- (to Squiggy) If ya get 'ny closer, I swear I'll break your teeth.

Ash- (to Lenny) Your a pretty good slow dancer, Len.

Lenny- Yeah?

Ash- Yeah. (She puts her head on his shoulder)

FOUR
int. L&S apt. the gang is standing/sitting around talking about this and that.

Shirley- Will ya look at that storm!

Squiggy- Yeah, I bet if ya went out in it you'd (using creepy voice) never return....

Lenny- Don't use that scary voice, Squig.....

Squiggy- (Trying to torment Lenny) Never return!

(Just as he said that, the lights flicker)

Lenny- Uh, Squig, was 'at you?

Squiggy- Not unless I ain't here.

Shirley- Who did it?

(The gang mumbles about who turned the lights on and off etc. The lights flicker again)

Ash- That wasn't us you guys....

(The lights flicker one last time, then go out for good)

Shirley- It must be the storm, looks like the whole neighborhood is out....

Laverne- (Fumbling to the phone in the pitch black) The phone's dead too.

Carmine- Why don't somebody just go down to the basement an' reset the breakers?

Ash- Uh, uh. Don't bother, Carmine. in a storm like this, there ain't gonna be 'ny back up. The breakers won't help. Looks like we're gonna be in the dark for a while.

Shirley- Well, at least we're together.

Ash- Do ya got 'ny candles? I can't see my own nose!

Squiggy- It's right there on your face where its always been.

Laverne- I'll get the candles.

FIVE
int. L&S apt. Still dark, but the gang is now visible. They are seated in a circle on the floor. three candles are burning in the middle.

Ash- What are we gonna do, hold a seance?

Shirley- No, lets think of a game or something we can do until the lights come back on.

Laverne- How 'bout truth or dare?

Squiggy- Yeah! (He looks at Shirley)

Shirley- (Seeing Squiggy staring at her) No! That game reeks of smut, Laverne!

Ash- Awe, its only harmless smut!

Carmine- Your outnumbered, angelface. Lets play. Who's first?

Ash- How 'bout you Laverne? After all, it was your idea.

Shirley- Well, I'm not playing!

Laverne- Okay, (She looks around the circle) ....Lenny, truth or dare?

Lenny- Awe, I always get picked! Um, truth.

Laverne- (Carmine whispers something to her) Okay, Len, who gave you your first kiss?

Lenny- (obviously embarrassed) You Laverne, remember, sixth grade? (The rest of the gang starts to laugh)

Laverne- (hitting Carmine's arm) What a rotten question Carmine!

Lenny- My turn! Okay Carmine! (Laverne smiles at Lenny) Truth or dare?

Carmine- Dare.

Lenny- I need help wit' this! (Laverne jumps up and starts talking to Lenny) Oh, oh, yeah, nah...

Laverne- C'mon, Len!

Lenny- Nah, that ain't right, Laverne! (Soon Laverne, Lenny, Ash, & Squiggy are all consulting eachother for the perfect dare for Carmine)

Shirley- (To Carmine) Can you believe how childish they're being?

Carmine- (laughs nervously) Yeah, childish... (he tiptoes over to the huddle and trys to listen in)

Ash- (Stepping up to Carmine) Back!

Carmine- Okay, okay, geez, you guys must be cooking up something good!

(Ash goes back to join the others, they whisper a little bit more then sit down)

Lenny- (Walking over to Carmine) I'll tell you in here! (He pushes Carmine into the bedroom, and gives one last smile to the group on the floor)

Shirley- I can't take this anymore! (She stands up, walks to the kitchen and pours herself a drink) I mean really, how immature can you get?!

Laverne- Awe, come on, Shirl!

(Shirley takes her drink and goes and sits on the couch)

Carmine- (from bedroom) What?!?! I can't do that!

Lenny- (from bedroom) Ya have to, it's a dare! (He shoves Carmine into the living room)

Shirley- I don't know what they're making you do Carmine, but you better know right now, that without power, the water in the shower's gonna be freezing cold.

Carmine- (Walking over to Shirley and kneeling beside her) Shirley, angelface, will you marry me?
