This is an anwer to LASfic's 100-word story challenge.
Lenny took a memo pad from Shirley’s drawer. It had a cartoon cat in the corner. Printed was “From the paw of…” Lenny wrote bellow it:
“Lenny Kosnowsi.”
He laughed at the idea of himself having paws. He scratched out ‘paw’ and wrote ‘fingers’. Then he wrote:
This is just a note to say how special you are. You help me through bad times just sitting there, listening. You let me wax you every Thursday, and you make an excellent paper weight.

Then he realized that Jeffrey was a dead stuffed iguana… who probably
couldn’t read anyway.
