Summary: Carmine has to owe some people some money, but doesn’t have to the money. So what happens when they threaten with a threat that would change his life and others?
Part One:
Carmine is walking through a dark alley. He is walking slowly listening carefully for other people around. Right when he got to the corner he ran as fast as he could down the street. Finally he reached the building that Laverne and Shirley lived in. He knocked on the door then realized that he didn’t mean to do that. Right before he walked away the door opened. There stood Shirley in a towel ready to get into the shower. He decided that maybe knocking was the better idea after all.
Shirley: Carmine! What are you doing here? And where have you been? You look… dirty.
Carmine: Oh, hi Angelface! Um, I was… helping Sonny down in the basement with the pipes and stuff.
Shirley: Pipes? You mean like, he pipes that the water comes out of? Does that mean I can’t get my shower? Please don’t tell me I can’t get my shower.
She began to babble.
Carmine: SHIRL! Calm down! You can take a shower everything was fine. He was just having some trouble but I fixed it!
Shirley: Oh, good! So why are you up here? Do you need something?
Carmine: Well, no, but I see I came at the right time!
He smiled and Shirley gave him "the look."
Carmine: Ok, ok… sorry.
Shirley: So what do you want?
Carmine: Um, do you have any eggs?
Shirley: Yeah how many? Why do you want eggs?
Carmine thinking: Dang she has to have a reason or everything!
Carmine: One, I am making something and I need one more egg.
Shirley: But I thought you said you just came from the basement.
Carmine: Well… before I went to the basement I was making something!
Shirley: And you just left whatever it was sitting there to go down the basement? IF it needs eggs then it must be bad by now if you set it out while you were down there.
Carmine: Good point. Then… nevermind! Well, I gotta go Angelface! Bye!
He kissed her on the cheek and ran out.
Shirley: That was strange.
Right at that time Laverne came down the stairs.
Laverne: Hey Shirl… what are you waiting for, flowers to grow in the bathtub or are you gonna actually take a shower?
Shirley: Sorry. That was Carmine. He was acting really strange.
Laverne: Well what’s new! There is always someone around this place acting weird!
Then in walked Lenny and Squiggy.
Shirley: Thanks a lot Laverne! Everytime we say something like that they appear at our door!
She was running up the stairs.
Laverne: What do you guys want?
Squiggy: We just want you to see our newest addition to out talent agency! Presenting-
Laverne: No thanks! Now get out!!
Lenny: I didn’t know his was "no thanks!’ I thought is was Georyangezeayser!
Laverne: OUT!
Squiggy: Well fine! Control yourself women!
They leave.
Part Two:
Carmine is sitting at a bar down the street from Cowboy Bills. He was drinking the same beer that he was drinking two hours ago. A man walks up to him.
Man: Hey buddy, you ok? You’ve been just sittin’ here drinking a millimeter of that drink every 20 minutes! Women are troublin’ you?
Carmine: No, see I owe some money to these people and I don’t have it. I am just trying to figure out what I should do.
The man got wide eyed and scooted away from him.
Man: Oh, well good luck.
He went away and sat back down at a table away from him.
Then Carmine heard the doors slam open and he jerked his head around. He saw a man with a strong looking crew behind him.
Man: Ragusa, outside NOW!
Carmine slowly got up and walked so he was face to face with the man.
Carmine: What do you want?
Man: You know what I want! And you’re not givin’ it to me! Now you better hand it over or-
Carmine: Or what? Huh? What are you gonna do?
All the other men laughed at him. A small guy from behind stepped forward.
Small guy: What do you think lone sharks do, braid your hair?
They all laughed. The leader stopped it.
Man: No, no, I think we won’t hurt him, but instead hurt someone else he loves.
Carmine: Don’t touch anyone I know.
Man: Well until you hand over that money, I’m gonna torture this person and torture you too with the pain that they’re gonna go through.
Carmine: I swear, if you touch anyone I know, I’ll… hire a hit man and kill you!
Man: This is a joke! You just come up with the money by 12:00 tonight or I’ll hunt this person down.
They stared to leave.
Carmine: Wait! Who exactly are you plannin’ on hurtin’?
Man: For us to know, and you to find out!
They left. Carmine stood there. He noticed everyone was staring at him. He just walked out.
Part Three:
While all that happened to Carmine, this was going on at Laverne and Shirley’s place.
Laverne: So what was Carmine over here for?
Shirley: I’m not really sure. It was weird, when I answered the door, he was out of breath-
Laverne: Probably because you were in that towel! Haha!
Shirley: ANYWAY! He looked like he had been somewhere-dirty cause he had dirt all over him. He said that he had just come form the basement with Sonny. He said they were working on the pipes.
Laverne: What was wrong with the pipes?
Shirley: I don’t know! Then he asked if he could use an egg and we had this short confusing conversation about when he was making something and he left it to go help Sonny… and … anyway, it was weird.
They heard a knock at the door. It was Sonny. He walked in.
Laverne: Hey Sonny! Did you get those pipes fixed?
Sonny: What pipes?
Shirley: What do you mean "what pipes?" Don’t you remember working on the pipes with Carmine?
Sonny: Um… no, I haven’t been to the basement all day today!
Shirley: Oh Lord!
Laverne: Now calm down Shirl! Don’t jump to conclusions!
Sonny: What’s going on?
They explained the situation to him.
Sonny: Well last time I saw him he was on his way somewhere. Maybe to Cowboy Bills or something.
Shirley: Oh, let’s go see if he’s there!! He’s gotta be up to something! He would never lie to me!
Laverne: Well I think that you should do in and we should wait outside and spy on you guys just so he won’t think that we are suspicious or anything.
Shirley: But we are suspicious!
Laverne: Just do it ok Shirl? Come on Sonny!
They left.
Part Four:
Shirley walked into Cowboy Bills. She saw Mr. DeFazio. She walked over to him.
Shirley: Hi Mr. DeFazio!
Mr. DeFazio: Hi Shirley. Where’s Laverne?
Shirley: Oh, she is outside, um, have you seen Carmine?
Mr. DeFazio: Nope, but hold on…. EDNA!!!!
She came running out.
Edna: What’s wrong what’s wrong? Is someone hurt?
Mr. DeFazio: Nope, have you seen Carmine though?
Edna: Oh, gosh I thought it was something bad! No, I haven’t. Why?
Shirley: Oh, um, I’ll explain later! I have to go! I’ll see you two later!
She walked out. Se saw Laverne and Sonny making out.
Shirley: Um, I don’t call that spying!
Laverne: Sorry, we got bored. So…
Shirley: They haven’t seen him.
Sonny: What about that bar over there?
Shirley: But Carmine doesn’t go into bars!
Laverne: Come on, it’s worth a try! HE could be in there.
Part Six:
Carmine had already left the bar by this time and was ready to wait for the guys. It was 11:45 P.M. Almost 12:00. He was ready to face them and fight them because he didn’t have the money he had to own them. He just waited.
Mean while…
Shirley walked into the bar while Laverne and Sonny waited outside for her staring in the window as if they were just having a conversation so people wouldn’t think they were strange for staring in.
Man: May I help ya lady?
Shirley: Yes, um, have you seen Carmine Ragusa around here?
A man looked up right when he heard that name. He was sitting at another table. He got up and walked over to her.
Man: I have!
Shirley: Oh, thank God! DO you know where he is?
Man: Yeah come with me.
He walked outside with Shirley and Sonny and Laverne saw her leave the bar. They crept along keeping their distance to the man wouldn’t hear them. Shirley and the man had taken a turn that lead into a dark alley. Right when they entered a dead end he covered her mouth and pushed her against the brick wall.
Man: Ok lady, don’t say a word. I don’t know who you are, but you are gonna be our victim… just to let ya know.
She rolled her eyes. Another man had walked up then.
John: What a clever thing to do stupid! I’m sure she liked knowing that she is out victim, I mean, seeing as THOUGH SHE DIDN’T ALREADY KNOW! Move over stupid. Lemme handle this!
The other man moved. And stood right in front of Shirley so she couldn’t run or get away.
John: So, what’s your name sweetie?
Shirley: Not until you tell me what’s going on! Where’s Carmine!
John: Not until you tell us your name.
Shirley: My name is none of your business! Now tell me what’s going on!
John: Ok, calm down None of Your Business!
She rolled her eyes.
John: We’ll tell ya what’s going on! Your friend Carmine owes us money and he doesn’t have it. We need it! So we had a deal that if he didn’t have it by 12:00 tonight, then we were gonna torture someone he knew!
Shirley: Yeah well that makes a lot of sense! Anyway, it isn’t even 12:00 yet! You can let me go!
John: We’re gonna save you for 12:00.
Laverne and Sonny had lost them. They were running all around looking for them. Carmine was still waiting for the people. Shirley was still fighting with John and then, Carmine, Sonny, and Laverne heard a scream that sounded familiar. They ran towards the direction of the scream. They all met each other at the beginning of the alley. They looked at each other and knew they had no time to talk so the ran down the alley and found Shirley up against the wall and John holding her throat while he was directing other people to get things. Carmine came up form behind him while he was looking the other way and hit him hard with a piece of wood. He feel to the ground. Shirley was gasping for air as she ran to Laverne and Sonny.
Laverne and Sonny: Are you ok?
Shirley: We’ll talk later.
She was trying to talk better, but the words were hard to say.
Right when Carmine hit John all the other people came out and they started to gang up on Carmine. Then Sonny decided to help out and was fighting the other people too. Then when two men were charging at Laverne and Shirley, they both started to fight the other people. They were all fighting in their own ways and then finally John was the only one left. He was getting up and was ready to hit Carmine. Carmine pulled his arm back and Shirley grabbed it from behind and ran between John and Carmine. She stopped John’s fist with her palm.
Shirley: Wait a minute! Let me talk to you for a second before you go blowing someone’s teeth out of their head again!
They walked over to a wall.
Shirley: Carmine, I have to say I am very disappointed, but now is not the time to tell you that! I’ll save it for later!
Carmine: Yeah and I’m looking forward to it!
Shirley: Trust me, you will thank me! Anyway, look, I know you own them money and you don’t have it, so let me help you out! Please! Don’t’ say no because I will anyway! I love you and I would do anything for you! I mean, if we were married, it would be all right! So just let me do it for you ok?
Carmine: Shirl, you know I can’t do that!
Shirley: Carmine, just let me do it, and this will be all over with. You can pay me back as you go along! I mean, it’s not like I’m gonna kill you if you don’t pay up! SO just let me do it! I love you Carmine! Please, let me do this for you!
He thought for a minute then and looked into her eyes.
Carmine: Ok, fine! I can’t believe I’m doing this!
So they got everything settled between John and they went home.
Part Seven:
It is 3:30 A.M. that morning and Shirley and Carmine are sitting on the couch. Laverne is up stairs and Sonny went home. They were talking about what happened.
Carmine: Listen, Shirl, before you say anything, I just want to tell you that the reason that I didn’t tell you about this is because I thought that I would be able to pay John back. And when I couldn’t, I didn’t want you to worry, so I just decided it would be best if I didn’t tell you.
Shirley: Well what would you have told me when you were laying a hospital half dead from getting the hell beaten out of you? Would you have just said that you were trying to find some eggs and you decided to go down to the basement and the roof collapsed?
Carmine: I just didn’t want you to worry. I don’t know how you can forgive me because I lied to you and I know we should tell each other everything. I feel really ashamed.
Shirley: Oh… well… I can forgive you… I guess. I just, kinda thought that since we were so close we could tell each other everything even if we were in that kinda trouble. I just don’t think we should hide things from each other.
Carmine: Well, I think so too. But it still isn’t all right that I lied to you, so how about I take you out for dinner tomorrow night ok?
Shirley: Well what about tonight?
Carmine: Shirl, its 3:30 in the morning.
Shirley: I know!
She leaned over to him and the started to make out on the couch. She leaned back with him on top and things started to get hot. They thought that everything was going to be ok now since everyone was asleep and everyone was happy. But right when Carmine started to lift up Shirley’s shirt, in came Lenny and Squiggy. When they saw, Lenny and Squiggy started to make their noises. Carmine and Shirley screamed and Shirley pulled her shirt back down.
Shirley: WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Lenny: Hahahahaha!!!
Squiggy: We just thought that you two might want to see out latest invention, but we see you are busy so we will just-
Carmine and Shirley: LEAVE!
They left and Carmine and Shirley started from where they left off.
The End
