And yes, I couldn't quite figure out how to spell the name of Lenny's sovereign mini-nation, so I improvise.
Finally, the wedding!

"Laverne?! Laverne?!"
Voices stirred the young woman from her unconscious state. Shirley slapped her hand, Lenny hovered over her, and Squiggy and Rhonda stared at her as though she was the strangest thing that ever existed.
"Shirl," She laughed, "I had the weirdest dream...we went to Kulakowski to get married! And they made me take classes, and speak Polish, and.." Her eyes fell on her crinoline-coated dress, "Aww, no! It's not a dream."
Shirley smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, Vernie."
She sat up, with Lenny's hands at her shoulders, "If yous don't wanna get married, we can.." Squiggy began.
Laverne shook her head, "Tell Lainy we want to see her. Now."
Her friends filed out of the room, leaving Laverne and Lenny alone, until Lainy's entrance.
"I can't do this, Lainy," She began, "I'm real sorry, but all of these cameras...and these monkey suits," She looked at Lenny, "And LEN!" She cried, staring in disbelief at the ruffled shirt and blue short pants her fiancé wore. "This ain't the way I wanna be married."
Lainy frowned, "You're miserable, aren't you? And I've been making the both of you even more miserable by insisting on things for the good of the Government..." Her eyes brightened, "I think I have a solution."
Lenny warily eyed his sister, "The last time you said that, I was stealin' a Betsy Wetsy for you from the toy store."
Lainy grasped them by the shoulders and began whispering into their ears, "Come here," She smiled, and then she began whispering her plan in a low, excited voice to her family...

Laverne emerged from the bride's room into the vestibule. She grabbed Rhonda and began whispering fevered instructions. The blonde's eyes widened, then she nodded, and began whispering instructions into the ears of the other guests.
Shirley, her hoop skirt rustling, ran to her friend, "What do you want me to do?"
"Follow me. We're going to the little chapel out back, the one the townsfolk use." And then she started ripping at her dress, "But we're fixin' this first!"
**
Re-assembled in the smaller church, the Kosnowski-DeFazio wedding was now standing-room-only. As Laverne stood, her arm wrapped through her father's, she stared at what she and Shirley had whipped up on the run over.
Her gown wasn't perfect, but it was modern, without that awful train or puffy sleeves. And it had a big black "L" on her breast.
The wedding march piped through the air, and Frank, with his assistants behind them babbling away, Whispered to his daughter, "Like I said; one word, and he's gone."
"Pop.." She sighed, "I really love Lenny. Really."
"Yeah, I know." They strolled to the end of the asile and slowly marched down it.
Laverne turned her head back and forth, taking in all of the familiar faces. Her cousins were in full force, as were the Debs. She saw Mr. Hilldebrand, and..she squinted...Max Shotz? And Sonny, with a date. She recognized a couple of other old "friends", male and female. Rosie was there, looking jealous. Edna, and Amy. A few of the younger Debs...wow, how many people had been invited?!
She saw so many familiar faces that she ran out of names. And, at the end of the aisle were Veenie, Lainy, Rhonda and Shirley.
And Lenny..
He had snuck out somehow and was wearing his Lone Wolf Jacket, and a very loud Hawaiian shirt over his black pants. His hair was greased back.
And he looked adorable.
His hand shook as he took her own; she could almost hear his panting. The priest smiled at them, delivering a blessing in Polish.
There was a reading, a blessing; they lit a candle together. Finally, there was a pause of objections before the vows.
"Lenny...I love you. And I never know what to say besides that. I think you know me better than anyone else. You kiss real good, and you'll take care of me. And you'll let me take care of you. I love you."
"Vernie, I had to chase ya across the whole planet to get you to marry me. I'm gonna work real hard on keeping you happy, and I'm gonna make sure you never have ta do without. I love you so much."
A traditional set of vows followed then a set in Polish, followed by the ring exchange. Laverne noticed that her ring had been carefully etched, inscribed with a blessing in Lenny's ancestor's tongue.
And in English: "Beloved".
He trembled, and her eyes filled with tears. In brilliant, clear English the priest announced.
"I now pronounce you man and wife. Count Kosnowski, You may now kiss the bride."
