Scene1 Laverne and Shirley's Milwaukee Apt. Kitchen. Shirley is pouring a glass of orange juice for herself.

Shirley: Laverne you better get out here! Your "Frosted Flakes" are getting pretty soggy!

Laverne O.S. (in bedroom): Okay I'm coming, I just have to pick out what I'm going to wear on my date tonight with one, "Ted Nelson Firemen".

Shirley: Okay, but if you don't hurry up we'll be late for work!

Laverne: (coming out of the bedroom) Okay Okay! I'm here look if it'll make you happy, I'll eat my "Frosted Flakes" in the car.

Shirley: Good

Scene 2: Laverne and Shirley's apt. 9:00pm. Shirley and Carmine are sitting on the couch watching "I Love Lucy"

Shirley: How Lucy finds her way to get in to the club I will never know.

Carmine: Yeah, but that's what makes it such a funny show.

Laverne and Ted walk in. She sees Shirley and Carmine watching "I Love >Lucy" Laverne kisses Ted and he leaves.

Laverne: Oh look at that, it's the one where Ricky bets Lucy that she can't get in to the club! I love this one! Especially when she is in that bass outfit thing. I laughed so hard that I couldn't breathe the first time I saw it!

Shirley: Laverne please!

Laverne: Oh okay I'll sit down and shut up now.

She sits down and everyone is watching the tv.

10 minutes later...

Laverne and Shirley are cracking up.

Shirley: Oh that was hilarious! The two sided wig and overalls!

Carmine (dissapointed): Yeah.

Laverne: Whats wrong Carmine? Don't know good comedy when you see it?

Carmine: No it's not that, it's just that... well... I never really get any time alone with Shirley anymore.

Shirley: What do you mean Carmine? I made us a home cooked meal and after that we sat down and watched "I Love Lucy" It was a great night.

Carmine: I know, but we weren't alone for that long...(looks at Laverne)

Laverne: What I couldn't help it, Ted had to go to work early tomorrow.

Shirley: Carmine, You know what you need? You need a vacation, all of this time in the city has made you tense.

Carmine: Maybe your right, and my Easter one week break is coming up pretty soon.

Laverne: Yeah, you need to go some where where you are iceolated from people.

Shirley: Exactly!

Scene 3 Laverne and Shirley's apartment three days before Easter.

Carmine comes in with a big smile on his face.

Carmine (looking for Shirley) Shirl? Shirley?

Shirley come out of the bedroom.

Shirley: What is it Carmine?

Carmine: I finaly picked where I'm going to go.

Shirley: Where is that Carmine?

Carmine: The mountains. Somewhere in Utah.

Shirley: Really, oh that's great!

Carmine: Yeah I would really like it if you came with me. Now, before you say no just think of what your passing up. You in the middle of the wild, in a nice warm cabin heated and lighted by a warm fire in the fire place. We can snuggle up next to the fire, no body will barge in on us.

Shirley: Okay! I'll go with you, but we're not doing what you think we were going to do. You have to follow the same rules.

Carmine: Okay.

Laverne comes out of the bed room

Laverne: What's this I hear about the mountains?

Shirley: Laverne, Carmine and I are going to go to the mountains for a

couple of days during our Easter Break.

Laverne: Okay great! I'll have the place to myself for a while.

Shirley: When are we going?

Carmine: Tomorrow?

Shirley: What??? I have to go pack!

She runs in to the bed room and starts to pack.

Scene 4 Train Carmine and Shirley had fallin asleap.

Loud Speaker: We are in Salt Lake City, Utah, all passengers, please disembark.

Carmine wakes up. Then he wakes up Shirley.

Carmine: Shirley we're here! Now all we have to do is rent a car, and head for the mountains! (I'm sorry I forgot what these mountains are called. It's right on the tip of my tongue)

Shirley: (Yawning) Okay.

Scene 5 Cabin

Shirley unlocks the door. She and Carmine walk in.

Shirley: Oh it's just beautiful!(pause) Ummm... Carmine? How come there is only one bed?

Carmine: Well, you see Shirl, they won't rent these things to you unless your married.

Shirley start her high piched scream and slams the door to show her anger. They hear a rumbling sound. It lasts for about 45 seconds, then is stops. The cabin is completely dark.

Shirley : Carmine, how could you say that we were married, you know that we're not. We could get arrested. I'm leaving now.

She tries to find to door and does. She opens it and starts heading forward to find that she walked right in to a huge mound of snow. She jumped up to see how high it was, but it was so deep that it was covering the whole doorway. She starts her high pitched scream.

Carmine: (yelling over Shirley's scream)Shirley, look, I know what you probably think of me right now, but I wasn't trying to take advantage of you. I'm really not kidding. That's why I brought my sleeping bag. I figured that I could sleep on the floor.

Shirley: (stops her screaming) Well normally if I was in a situation like this I would kill you, but right now we have to find out how to get out of here. Until someone comes we just have to save our food, and stay close so that we don't freeze to death.

Carmine: Okay! (he leans toward her but misses because he can't see anything.)

Shirley: (didn't notice) Did you say that you brought a lantern, candles and matches?

Carmine: yeah they're right in my bag.(since his bag is still on his shoulders he unzips the side pocket, and pulls out the matches, candles, and the lantern.)

Carmine lights up the lantern. And gives it to Shirley.

Carmine: Now walk around so that we can find the fireplace. That should light up this little place pretty well.

Shirley: Okay. (She walks around and finds the fireplace.) Here it is.

Carmine: Great.(he lights the wood that's in the fireplace already.)

Shirley: Boy that does light it up doesn't it? I guess that we're stuck in here until some one finds us.

Carmine: Why do you say that like it's a bad thing. I mean, if you were stuck in some place like this with Laverne, I'd be really worried. I mean I wouldn't know if you were dead or alive, but at least now I know that you are all right.

Shirley: Carmine...

Carmine: what?

Shirley: It's freezing, let's sit by the fire okay?

Carmine: okay.

They sit down in front of the fire. With in moments, they are making out.

Shirley: Hey Carmine?

Carmine: What?

Shirley: Well, my clothes are sort of wet from walking in all of that snow. I'm going to go in to the bathroom and change in to my pajamas. Okay?

Carmine: Okay,when you come out I think that I'll change too.

Shirley Gets her pajamas and bathrobe, and goes in to the bathroom.

5 minutes later.

Shirley is getting her bed ready and Carmine comes out in his pajamas.

Shirley: Carmine, I know that it's early, but I'm going to go to sleep now. I've had a hard day. I mean not that you had it easy, oh you know what I mean.

Carmine: (sort of dissapointed) Yeah I understand.

Carmine starts fixing his sleeping bag so that he can sleep in it. Shirley grabs Boo Boo Kitty and goes right to sleep. Then Carmine puts out the fire with a bucket of water.

One hour later Shirley wakes up after a bad dream. She grabs the lantern that's on the table next to her to make sure Carmine is still there. (It was part of her nightmare that Carmine got taken away.) Unsurprisingly, he's still there, but he is shivering.

Shirley gets up, goes over to him, and wakes him up.

Shirley: Carmine, wake up.

Carmine: What is it Shirl?

Shirley: I can see that you're cold.

Carmine: Ya think?

Shirley: I know that I'm waiting for my wedding night before I share my bed with anyone, but this is an emergency. Besides we're not going to do the deed. This is only so you don't freeze to death.

Carmine: (really happy) Okay! That's fine with me!

Shirley: But Carmine, you can't tell anyone about this, I mean, then people will change my nickname.

Carmine: What the Girly Shirley one?

Shirley: No the "Shirley wait 'till the wedding night Feeney" one.

Carmine: Oh.

Shirley: Come on.

They go over to the bed.

Shirley: Carmine your feet are freezing!

Carmine: I know.

Shirley: Lets go to sleep okay?

She kisses him gently on the lips. She puts her arms around him and hugs him like a teddy bear as she falls asleep. Carmine has a wide grin on his face.

Carmine: (To himself) I know that this trip was worth the money.

Scene 6 morning in the Cabin.

It is lighted be the cracks where the wood doesn't touch that forms the walls.

Shirley and Carmine are eating sandwiches.

Shirley: How many sandwiches did you bring?

Carmine: 12

Shirley: How long do you think we'll be trapped in here?

Carmine: Well, last night when I called the guy that owns this place, he said that it would take about two days. Before they dug us out.

Shirley: What?

Carmine: not counting yesterday.

Shirley: Well I'm glad that we had those huge dinners last night at "Mel's Drive In" These are our first sandwiches so that is... 3 a day?!

Carmine: Shirley, you will live remember when you went for three days without food?

Shirley: Oh well, okay. Boy am I glad that I brought a deck of cards, paper and pencils, and Shoots and Ladders with me. At least we'll have something we can do for the next three days.

Carmine: I was thinking that we could do something else, but okay I guess.

Shirley: Carmine, we can make out later, right now can you teach me how to play poker?

Carmine: Sure, why not. Hey Shirl, while we're on the subject you want me to teach you how to play strip poker?

Shirley: Don't push it Carmine.

Carmine: well it was worth a shot. Okay here is how you play, three of a kind beats one pair...

As he is talking we fade out of the scene.

Scene 7 Three days later.

Shirley and Carmine are packing and Bob (the owner) opens the door.

Bob: I'm really sorry about this, I won't charge you for the extra days that you weren't here. Is that a deal?

Carmine: Yeah okay.

Scene 8 train.

Carmine: You know what Shirley? I think that this trip brought us closer together.

Shirley: Yeah, I can't wait to get home though.

Scene 9 Laverne and Shirley's Apt.

Shirley: (walking in to the doorway) We're home Laverne!

Laverne walks in with a suitcase.

Carmine: Laverne what are you doing?

Laverne: Oh, well the sewage pipe backed up so I had to stay at your place(points to Carmine) I hope that you don't mind.

Carmine: No it's okay.

Laverne goes in to the kitchen.

Shirley: well, I had a really nice time with you Carmine, but I really have to call some one to fix the pipe. I'll see you tomorrow.

(She kisses him on the cheek and he leaves.)

Laverne: Oh what did you do on your vacation? And why did you stay an extra two days?

Shirley: Oh well there was an avalanche, Carmine and I got locked in our cabin and that's about it.

Laverne: Oh that's nice. Can I ask you one more question?

Shirley: sure.

Laverne (pulls something out of Shirley's bag) What are Carmine's pajamas and undershirt doing in you bag?

Shirley: (suspiciously) I don't know.

Laverne: Come on tell me! I want to know! What did you do? (and so on and so forth)

As the script ends Laverne is still bugging Shirley to tell her what happened.
