"Of course it's me! Who'd ya think it would be? That guy from Sea Hunt?" Lenny yelled through the door.

"Go away, Lenny!" Laverne yelled back. "I don't wanna see nobody!"

"Laverne! It ain't right, you keepin' Shirley out. It's her room, too. Either you open the door or I'm gonna break it down!" Lenny warned.

Laverne could make out some hushed, frantic conversation on the other side of the door.

With a sigh, she got out of bed and went over to the door. Just as she unlocked and opened it, Lenny came running through it, head down, shoulder forward. He ran straight into the foot of Shirley's bed, falling onto it and bouncing off onto the floor.

Laverne rushed over to him and crouched down next to him.

"Lenny, are you alright? What were you doin'?!"

"I was breaking the door down, Laverne!"

"What for? I was opening it."

"Well, you could have said so!"

"Well, I'm sorry," she said quietly, standing up only to sit down heavily on Shirley's bed.

"What's wrong with you anyway?" Lenny asked from the floor. "Why ya lockin' Shirley outta your room?"

Laverne didn't answer him.

"Come on, Laverne," Lenny pried, getting to his feet. "It can't be that bad."

"It ain't none of your business, Lenny," Laverne snapped.

"Hey! All I was doing was tryin' to help! There's no need to get all vicious at me."

Lenny stomped angrily towards the bedroom door.

"Lenny, wait," Laverne said quickly.

Lenny stopped and turned around.

"What?"

"Well," Laverne said, rising to her feet and walking over to him slowly, wringing her hands, "you're gonna think this is silly."

Lenny crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah?"

"Well, see, I had this dream," she began with a nervous chuckle. "I dreamt I had a baby. And, I died having it."

"And?"

"What do you mean 'and'?" Laverne asked irritably. "Isn't that enough?"

"Nooooo," Lenny said, shaking his head dramatically. "It was just a dream."

"It wasn't just a dream," Laverne defended. "I started seein' things from it everywhere. Shirley bought me the dress I saw in my dream. She wore a dress I saw her wearing in my dream. The baby stuff, the room...everything from my dream is coming real!"

"No it ain't. Those are just coincidences. It's all in your head, Laverne." He tapped her temple.

She swatted away his hand.

"You're being silly, Laverne. Nobody's gonna let nothing bad happen to you. You know that. Think about it, Laverne. It was just a dream."

Laverne bit her lip as she thought it over. Suddenly she smiled.

"You're right, Lenny. I'm overreacting. It's just a dream."

"There, ya see. I knew you'd see reason eventually," he said in triumph, grinning.

As he walked out of the bedroom, Shirley passed him going in.

"Hey," she said softly.

"Hey," Laverne replied. She took a breath. "Look, I'm really sorry about everything. I've been acting really stupid lately."

"Yeah, you have been," Shirley agreed. Laverne ducked her head. "But, I heard everything you said while I was out in the hall and I can understand it. You were spooked. I'd be spooked, too, if I had a dream like that and then started seeing things from it."

"So, you're not too mad at me?" Laverne asked.

"No, I'm not too mad at you," Shirley assured her, slinging an arm around her shoulders. "By the way, what did Lenny say that made you realize you had nothing to worry about."

"Well, he told me to think about it," Laverne said as they walked out of the bedroom. "And, when I thought about the dream again, I realized it couldn't come true."

"Why's that?"

"'Cause I dreamed it was Lenny's baby I was havin'," she said with a laugh. "And, there's no way that's gonna happen."

Shirley laughed in agreement.
